Paige Hits in 20 Straight Games Monday, August 16th, 2032 The Santa Fe Revolvers may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 9-4 to the Amarillo Submarinos, but Ken Paige continued to hit like a god. The first baseman collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Paige is playing great and is on fire right now," Revolvers manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Paige was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Ken Paige struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. This year Paige has collected a .332 batting average to date with 105 hits in 316 at-bats, 44 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 30 times. He has played in 79 games. |
