Bompton No Match for Hancock Tuesday, August 3rd, 2032 Franklin Fire fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Eddie Hancock blanked the Bompton Baby Lakers, 14-0 at Lawmen Ballpark today. Hancock stopped them on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 10. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Fire skipper Chua-kah Liu said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Hancock has made 5 starts, tossed 37.2 innings, struck out 30 batters and walked 10. His record is 3-2 with a 6.45 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .301 batting average.
