Ch'oe Wins USSL Rookie Pitching Crown Thursday, September 23rd, 2032 Teok-kyu Ch'oe of the Staten Island Pizza Rats had a fine 12-4 season in 2032 and today claimed the USSL Rookie Pitcher of the Year Award. He started 21 times, threw 155.2 innings while collecting 166 strikeouts and fashioned a 2.66 ERA. Ch'oe allowed only 142 hits, 26 walks and a .239 opponents' batting average. Ed Molloy of the Staten Island Pizza Rats finished second in voting, while Ramón Gálvez of the Capital Hill Interns finished third. |
