SR's Best Player, López of Orlando Monday, September 6th, 2032 So far in his young career, Manny López has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Rookie in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Orlando Magic catcher hit at a torrid .692 clip as he collected 18 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. López has a .383 average and a .446 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 130 hits, 22 home runs and driven in 76 runs. |
