Newcastle Third Baseman Picked SR Player of the Week Monday, August 9th, 2032 The Newcastle Mermen received word today that third baseman Roberto Díaz was selected USSL Rookie Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games. Díaz took full advantage of all 15 plate appearances last week as he hit .429 with 6 hits, 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Díaz is currently batting .279 with 9 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
