Buser Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, August 29th, 2032 The Phoenix Hotspur Academy may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 5-2 to the Greenport Harbor Whales, but Valerius Buser continued to hit like a god. The right fielder collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Buser is playing great and is on fire right now," Hotspur Academy manager Mike Evans said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Buser was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Valerius Buser struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Buser has hit at a .322 clip with 56 RBIs, 20 home runs and 64 runs scored. |
