Miners End See-to's Streak
Thursday, September 2nd, 2032
It was the best of both worlds for the Marquette Miners today at Marquette Stadium, as they defeated the Northville Eclipse 3-2 and also snapped Xi-ku See-to's 20-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old Northville left fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against See-to, we just wanted to win the game," said Miners skipper Juan Sánchez. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, See-to frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
See-to is hitting .255 so far this season with 49 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 92 hits including 11 home runs, 27 walks and .314 OBP.
