Cole Winn Sidelined for Season
Saturday, September 18th, 2032
Irving starting pitcher Cole Winn could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Billings game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Winn would be out 12 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Thus far this season Winn has posted a 5-7 record, started 19 games, struck out 91 batters in 111 innings and compiled a 4.70 ERA.
