August's #1 Hurler Announced: Cleland Wednesday, September 1st, 2032 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with De John Cleland, a 22-year-old starter for the San Bernardino Grasshoppers. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 2.00 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 27 innings, fanned 38 and held opposing teams to a .182 average. Over the season Cleland has thrown 86 innings and dished out 87 strikeouts with a 8-2 mark and a 3.24 ERA. |
