Gómez Earns 3AA Player of the Week Monday, August 23rd, 2032 Enrique Gómez burst onto the M3L Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Irving garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 27-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .500 (13-for-26) with 1 home run and 5 RBIs last week. This season Gómez is swinging the bat at a .297 rate with 65 hits in 219 at-bats. To date he has hit 5 home runs, scored 33 runs and driven in 31. |
