Reliever Velazco Top SAAA Pitcher in September Friday, October 1st, 2032 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Santo Velazco, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Vermont Lake Monsters reliever, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .200 average and walked away with the USSL Triple A Pitcher of the Month award for September. Velazco posted a 2-0 mark and a 1.26 ERA in no relief appearances. In 14.1 innings, he had no saves, 10 strikeouts, and 2 walks. During his career Velazco has appeared in 78 games, logging 253.1 innings with 192 strikeouts. He has carved out a 3.55 ERA with 18 wins and 12 losses and posted 16 saves. |
