Degollado Hits in 20 Straight Games Tuesday, August 31st, 2032 The Vermont Lake Monsters may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 3-1 to the Royse City Targaryens, but Ramón Degollado continued to hit like a god. The third baseman collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Degollado is playing great and is on fire right now," Lake Monsters manager Rick Nash said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Degollado was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Ramón Degollado flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Degollado is hitting .356 this year with 8 home runs and 48 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .411, 32 walks and scored 62 times. |
