Lynx Wong Gone for Year

The season is finished for Xiao-shuang Wong of the Calgary Lynx. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Lynx starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal.
In the current season in 20 starts, Xiao-shuang Wong has a record of 10-3 with 87 strikeouts in 119.2 innings and a 3.46 ERA.
