Chávez and Montoya Brawl, League Suspends Them
Monday, July 5th, 2032
After an intense confrontation, both the Timber Hawks Juan Chávez and the Belugas Juan Montoya were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Augusta-Brinkley game. Both players will miss 7 games as a result of their actions.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Juan Chávez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
In the current season in 11 starts, Juan Montoya has a record of 4-4 with 40 strikeouts in 69 innings and a 4.57 ERA.
