Báez Homers 3 Times Against Houston Monday, September 6th, 2032 Juan Báez went on an explosive hitting spree against the Houston BC at Houston Park today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Brinkley Belugas to the 18-13 win. The catcher finished 3-for-5 with 4 runs scored and 9 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Báez said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Houston skipper said Báez was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Juan Báez walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Marc Morgan in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Bryan Palmer in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ismael Padilla in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Báez has collected a .327 batting average to date with 18 hits in 55 at-bats, 15 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 8 times. He has played in 17 games. |
