Alloway No Match for Pittman Tuesday, August 10th, 2032 Pure Michigan Great Lakers fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Arnie Pittman blanked the Alloway Halberds, 9-0 at Lansing Park today. Pittman stopped them on 2 hits while walking 2 and striking out 8. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Great Lakers skipper Bob Thomas said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Pittman has made 13 starts, tossed 97.1 innings, struck out 70 batters and walked 33. His record is 8-5 with a 3.24 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .232 batting average.
