Trautmann Hits in 25 Straight Games
Sunday, August 8th, 2032
The Alaskan Humpbacks may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 5-2 to the Sunset District Fog, but Danny Trautmann continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
"Trautmann is playing great and is on fire right now," Humpbacks manager Dale Wolfe said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Trautmann was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Danny Trautmann doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th.
Trautmann is hitting .360 this year with 8 home runs and 52 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .400, 17 walks and scored 41 times.
