Player of the Week Honor to Galesburg Pitcher Monday, August 30th, 2032 Youth was served last week as 22-year-old Steve Wortley put together a remarkable stretch on the mound, outpacing all other USPL Single A pitchers and hitters to win Player of the Week honors. The Galesburg Guzzlers hurler rang up 5 strikeouts in 3.1 innings, compiling an ERA of 2.70 and posting a fine 2-0 mark. So far this year Wortley has made 0 starts, tossed 27 innings, struck out 37 batters and walked 12. His record is 4-2 with a 3.00 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .202 batting average. |
