Pieterse Strokes 5 Hits Monday, July 19th, 2032 Guzzlers catcher Bastiaan Pieterse had his way with South Beach pitching today at Galesburg Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Blaze ruined his great day by toppling the Guzzlers, 8-7. "I had a great day, but you've got to give South Beach credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Pieterse did today," Blaze skipper Jared Gilbert said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Bastiaan Pieterse hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
