Blue Sox, Young Blank U-24 Monday, August 9th, 2032 Jessie Young subdued the Athletic Club KC U-24, 5-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the Valley Blue Sox at ACKC Youth Field. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Valley skipper Willis Crawford said afterward. Young registered 6 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Athletic Club KC manager Mike Cunningham after the defeat.
