Morín Suffers Career-Ending Injury
Tuesday, July 27th, 2032
The expression on his face said it all when reliever Augusto Morín was injured throwing a pitch today in a game at Jets Stadium against Kennesaw. You could tell that this was no minor injury. Morín was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament, and in this case, it means his career is over. The Washington Generals issued the following statement: "It is with great sadness that we see Augusto ending his career due to injury. He was a great competitor and teammate and will be missed by the Generals organization." Morín is 23 years old.
To date this year Morín has won 3 and lost 1 with a 2.63 ERA, no saves and 20 strikeouts in 8 relief appearances.
