Northern Lions BC Need Extra Frames to Get Past Divided
|
The D.C. Divided got a sterling performance from designated hitter Yao-pang Chiang, but the Northern Lions BC still prevailed, 4-3. Chiang was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win, Thunder Bay goes to 38-32, while the Divided fall to 35-35.
Late in the game, third baseman Bartolo Morales had a big at-bat for Thunder Bay. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring double off Brewster Warble. The play gave the Northern Lions BC a 4-3 lead.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth, "let me know."
