Closing In: Kingston Township Nears R2034 With Dramatic Game Win
An all-important Game of the Round 2033 went into extra innings at Cloverdale Legion Park, with the Kingston Township Legion eventually emerging on top. Kingston Township has Terrence Eler to thank, after the designated hitter went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice in the 7-6 victory. The Legion are now one game away from the Round 2034, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.

Late in the game, pinch hitter Alfredo Cardenas had a big at-bat for Kingston Township. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Pedro Valdéz. The play gave the Legion a 7-6 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Cardenas. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
