Closing In: Wizarding Nears R2034 With Dramatic Game Win
|
An all-important Game of the Round 2033 went into extra innings at Platform 9 3/4, with the Wizarding Express eventually emerging on top. Wizarding has Fernando Sánchez to thank, after the first baseman slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 in the 5-4 victory. The Express are now one game away from the Round 2034, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.
Late in the game, third baseman Gustavo Mateo had a big at-bat for Wizarding. In the bottom of the 14th, he hit a run-scoring double off Weston Fisher. The play gave the Express a 5-4 lead.
In postgame comments, Sánchez said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
