A 3-RBI performance from catcher Tim Burney, who is rated as the 38th best prospect by BNN, led the Ft. Worth Cattlemen to a 5-3 win over the Richardson City Thundercats. The win was credited to Jason Horne in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Shunen Takahashi took the loss. Nicholas Wells converted his 9th save in 10 tries.

Burney had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch curveball from Shunen Takahashi, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Cattlemen a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Burney.

"Enjoyed this one," Burney told the Ft. Worth Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Ft. Worth has now won 3 straight, while the Thundercats have lost 3 in a row.
