Almost There: Panama City On Cusp of R2033 Triumph After 4-3 Win
|
Game was big. So was Robinson Suárez.
The Panama City starter rose to the occasion at Smoke Ballpark today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Piranhas to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Atlanta Smoke. Suárez threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs as the Piranhas won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2033.
Sergio Ortíz helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring triple to give Panama City a 1-0 lead.
Ortíz called the triumph "a good team win."
