Pivotal Game Goes to Host Evergreens, 6-3
Portland center fielder Chris Payling was the key at Evergreen Park today, being named player of the game as he powered the Evergreens to victory in a critical Game of the Round 2033. The Evergreens took the 6-3 win over the Toledo Stingers to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fifth when Payling, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, hit a run-scoring double. It propelled the Evergreens into the lead, 4-3.

Payling said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow in Portland. Slated to start are Hermenegildo Beliago for the Toledo Stingers and Jorge Otero for the the Portland Evergreens.
