Road Win Lifts Royse City to 2-1 Lead in R1
Despite a great performance by Tortolita center fielder Eisse Cals, the Royse City Targaryens defeated the Drummers by the score of 8-6 at Drummers Ballpark today. Cals was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Targaryens from moving one game closer to the Round 2. Royse City now leads the SL AAA Championship 2-1.

Manuel Ramos, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, aided the Royse City cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ramos said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Tortolita. Slated to start are Emershan Naidoo for the Royse City Targaryens and Steve Seabolt for the the Tortolita Drummers.
