Raucous Lynx Stadium Crowd Propels Lynx to 6-1 Victory; Series Tied at 2
|
The Calgary Lynx and the Bakersfield Nobles will take the PL AAA Championship to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Lynx beat the Nobles 6-1 at Lynx Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Calgary right-hander Héctor Pérez was named player of the game in the win after he threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball.
In the bottom of the fifth, Calgary center fielder Jing-sheng Joo had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Joo stroked a 2-run triple to right. It made the score 4-1, Calgary. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Joo called the triumph "a good team win."
The next game is set to be played Tuesday, September 28th, 2032 at Jerome Grounds in Bakersfield. The scheduled starters for the game are Miguel López for the Calgary Lynx and Jaganmani Vivek for the the Bakersfield Nobles.
