Screaming Eagles Even With Love Boats After Extra-Innings Win
Mercer Island starter Satoshi Ono turned in an exceptional performance and got some last-minute help as the Screaming Eagles forced the PL AA Championship into a decisive Game 5. The right-handed Ono threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs in a must-win situation against the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, keeping Mercer Island close enough to take the 4-3 victory on a 10th-inning walk-off. The winner of the series will advance to the Round 2.

Mercer Island won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Juan Sánchez on the mound for Lake Minnetonka, designated hitter Ramiro Ramos hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Screaming Eagles fans to their feet.

"It was terrific getting this win," Ramos said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

The next game is set to be played Monday at Heron Field. Slated to start are Esteban Miroz for Mercer Island and Alejandro García for Lake Minnetonka.
