Mercer Island Breaks Through for First Win in PL AA Championship; Now Trails 2-1
Already down in the PL AA Championship, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles put on their best show, beating the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats by a final score of 3-0 today. Darren Minich earned player of the game honors, as he threw 7 innings of shutout ball. Mercer Island now trails Lake Minnetonka 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.

The Mercer Island dugout showed signs of unrest at times. But the Screaming Eagles put this one in the win column with some good pitching and some timely hitting at critical moments.
