Love Boats Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Round 2
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Heron Field by a score of 4-3. Love Boats right-hander Kagetoki Matsubara was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Love Boats a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AA Championship.

Tommy Dreamer was 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI for Lake Minnetonka. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Dreamer delivered for the Love Boats. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Lake Minnetonka on top, 4-3.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Dreamer said.

The next game is set to be played Friday at Mercer Island Grounds. Slated to start are Dylan Telford for Lake Minnetonka and Darren Minich for Mercer Island.
