In a crucial game, the San Bernardino Grasshoppers put on their best show, beating the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks by a final score of 8-3 today. Chris Walters earned player of the game honors, as he was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. San Bernardino and Ft. Polk South are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-5 affair.

John Clark aided the San Bernardino cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a double.

"We came out aggressive," said Grasshoppers manager Manny Cuellar. "We came out swinging the bats."
