Toussaint, Belugas Sink Humpbacks Again in Game 2
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of left fielder Guy Toussaint, the Brinkley Belugas got a road win against the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-2, in Game 2 of the 3L AAA Championship today. Toussaint went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Belugas, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.
The game turned with one out in the top of the eighth when Toussaint, who is rated as the 69th best prospect by BNN, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Belugas into the lead, 4-2.
"I like our moxie," said Belugas manager Ricardo Medina.
The next game is scheduled for Friday, September 24th, 2032 at Belugas Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Laurel Yanny for the Alaskan Humpbacks and Luis Hernández for the the Brinkley Belugas.
