Almost There: Wizarding On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 4-3 Win
The Wizarding Express needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 2 today. The Express got the 4-3 win against the Ft. Worth Cattlemen in a walk-off at Platform 9 3/4. Wizarding right-hander Marcos Oquendo was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Express a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

José Corona was the walk-off hero for Wizarding. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Express shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Oquendo. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
