Pivotal Game Goes to Host Les Bleus, 3-2
|
The Quebec City Les Bleus are now one game away from a sweep of the Portland Evergreens after a dramatic walk-off win in the 10th inning at Hawks Ballpark today. Les Bleus left-hander Miguel López was named player of the game in the 3-2 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Quebec City holds a - advantage in the best-of- Third League Championship.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Quebec City designated hitter Kumanosuke Asano, facing Ming-jiang Wu, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Les Bleus the 3-2 win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," López told the Quebec City Observer.
