The Kingston Township Legion have a critical edge over the Grafton Middies in the Third League Championship, thanks to the veteran bat of Jim Scott.

Scott, 31, put on a showcase performance at Cloverdale Legion Park today, leading the Legion to victory, 8-0, in a pivotal Game . Kingston Township is now one game away from the Menard's Third League Championship, leading the best-of- series by a margin of - . Grafton will need to win both remaining games to advance.

Scott had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Legion went on to win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Scott said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
