The Richardson City Thundercats started the Silver League Championship in style today, winning on the road against the Wizarding Express at Platform 9 3/4 by a score of 8-2 to take an early - lead in the best-of- series. Thundercats second baseman Mitch Qualtrough was named player of the game after he was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times.
Alfredo Pizarro hit a run-scoring triple off Finn Wuilink in the top of the first, which put the Thundercats in front, 1-0. Pizarro had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.
"I really like what we did out there today," Pizarro said after the game.
