Osterman Rips Thunder Bay for 5 Hits
Jon Osterman put on a hitting clinic today as the New Amsterdam Dutchmen dumped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC 18-4 at Great Northern Field.

The New Amsterdam center fielder made Thunder Bay defenders earn their pay, lashing Thunder Bay pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Osterman said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Jon Osterman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

Osterman is hitting .287 so far this season with 33 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 66 hits including 8 home runs, 15 walks and .332 OBP.
