The Wizarding Express and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC cranked it up at Great Northern Field.
Thunder Bay right-hander Armando Marrero pitched his team to victory over the Wizarding Express at Great Northern Field. The final score was 6-3. Thunder Bay, at 28-24, sits in third place in the Silver League.
Yataro Kodo had a big 2-run home run for the Northern Lions BC in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Thunder Bay leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Fred Gunther and stroked the home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 4-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Marrero said after the game.
