The Franklin Fire and Sheridan Deer provided some drama at Wranglers Ballpark.
The Sheridan Deer turned back the Franklin Fire, 4-3, at Wranglers Ballpark. Shigeaki Samurakami was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Sheridan reliever Jimmy Whitney picked up the win to move to 5-5. Chu-yong Hong suffered the loss.
Sheridan took control in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Daniel Divina hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Deer.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Samurakami told the Sheridan News.
