Patriots Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Toledo
|
Boston pitcher John Kaufman did his part in helping his team beat the Toledo Stingers, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kaufman picked up the win for Boston, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The Stingers, now 6-10, continue their poor start.
Omer Yurtseven, who is rated as the 52nd best prospect by BNN, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with 2 singles.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kaufman told the Boston Herald.
