Tu, Shockers Rough Up Clippers

The Surprise Shockers beat the San Diego Clippers, 11-1, at Mean Green Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Yo Tu, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Jack Crabb picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-10. He struck out 4 in 8 innings. With the win, Surprise goes to 37-48, while the Clippers fall to 42-43.
In the top of the second inning, catcher Juan Ibarra delivered a key hit for the Shockers. With Surprise leading 1-0, he ripped a 2-run home run.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tu told the Surprise Daily News.
