Ogallala No Match for Deleón
The Ladue Rams did little to support starter Víctor Deleón against the Ogallala Octopi, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Octopi, striking out 8 and surrendering 6 hits. The performance from Deleón allowed Ladue to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Víctor, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Deleón told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
