Eric Thomas put on a hitting clinic today as the Crowley Cajuns dumped the Franklin Fire 10-2 at Lawmen Ballpark.

The Crowley second baseman made Franklin defenders earn their pay, lashing Franklin pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Thomas said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Eric Thomas doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
