Submarinos Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Santa Fe
|
The Amarillo Submarinos beat the Santa Fe Revolvers, 8-3, at Terriers Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Riley Rowbery, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 3 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Submarinos bumped their record to 35-30 with this latest triumph.
The Submarinos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brian Carr. For the game, Carr went 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 73rd hit of the season gave Amarillo a 4-3 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rowbery told the Amarillo Chronicle.
