Snowpeople Need Extras to Top Baby Lakers
|
The Snowpeople grabbed a win, 3-2, at Field of the Browns, overcoming a fine effort from Bompton pitcher Jesús Lemus. Lemus went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Ellesmere Island reliever Jian-gun Lin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Tae-ho Ch'oe took the loss. With the win, Ellesmere Island has a record of 25-35. Bompton falls to 28-32.
Ryung Jae-Wook's hit in the top of the 16th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Tae-ho Ch'oe for a run-scoring single. It put Ellesmere Island in front, 3-2.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Jae-Wook.
