Revolvers Come Back Late to Top Snowpeople
|
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a superb performance from pitcher Enrique Cruz. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Santa Fe. The Revolvers won the game, 4-1. In spite of the loss, Cruz was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Santa Fe reliever Augusto Freni picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Omar Morales shouldered the loss. Santa Fe is now 14-16, while Ellesmere Island is 11-19.
Jesús González contributed to the Santa Fe win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
