Tanner Hits 2 home runs in Express Win
|
It was a fun time at Platform 9 3/4, where the Ft. Worth Cattlemen and Wizarding Express tangled.
The Wizarding Express handed the Ft. Worth Cattlemen a loss at Platform 9 3/4. The final score was 12-7. Nathan Tanner was named player of the game for Wizarding. In addition to his 1 single and 2 home runs, he scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Biff Tannen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Tanner had a key at-bat for Wizarding early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and gave Wizarding an early 2-0 lead.
Express manager Dan Cahill wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
The Express are now 19-21, while the Cattlemen fall to 19-21.
