Sheridan got a strong outing from Martin van der Veen as the Deer defeated the Crowley Cajuns, 4-1, at Wranglers Ballpark. Pedro Ángel earned the save, his 3rd, for the Deer. Sheridan is now 13-14, Crowley 19-8.

Sheridan shortstop Pablo Pagán contributed to the cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Pagán went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Deer manager Tommy Wade, "I like our chances."
